12 More Pleas Include 5 Assault Cases

Criminal cases on thirteen people were disposed of in yesterday’s opening day during a new term of Laurens County General Sessions Court. A Greenwood man pled to the Murder of his estranged wife in early 2017. Details on that are on other newscasts today. Five others pled guilty to various assault charges.

25-year-old Kaheri Quintarius Allen of 106 Holland Hill, Laurens, pled guilty to 1st Degree Assault and Battery. He was sentenced under the Youthful Offender Act to a term not to exceed six years, with credit given for 143 days already spent in jail, and a judgement for restitution. Charges dismissed included two weapons offenses, Attempted Murder and 1st Offense, Possession of less than One Gram of Meth.

Pleas were also entered yesterday on 2nd and 3rd Degree Domestic Assaults. Other cases disposed of include those pleading guilty to Forgery, Automobile Break-In, Shoplifting, Resisting Arrest, Driving Under Influence, Driving under Suspension and Habitual Offender for Driving Under Suspension.
