Clinton Police Charge Woman with Five Drug Offenses

A Spartanburg woman was arrested by Clinton Police yesterday on five drug charges, with warrants citing offenses in Clinton yesterday and back in May of this year. 34-year-old Ericka Jean Canfield of 158 Chestnut Street, Spartanburg was charged with two Possession of Less than One Gram of Meth warrants along with two more charging her with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. A third charge was Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance.

Ms. Canfield is accused of having a quantity of crystal methamphetamine in her possession yesterday on North Bell Street that weighed less than one gram. She is also accused of having 19 ½ round, orange pills in her possession that were identified as Methylphedate Hydrochloride 10 mg, a schedule 2 controlled substance. The Drug Paraphernalia warrant for yesterday’s arrest states she had a glass pipe with a residue believed to be methamphetamine yesterday on North Bell Street.

Two other warrants charge Ms. Canfield with Possession of Meth and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in May. She is accused of having a quantity of brown crystal-type substance in her possession on Milling Street May 19th, 2018 that field tested positive for methamphetamine. It had a total weight of less than one gram. An investigation from Sgt. Harris also indicates that on May 19th she had a glass pipe with residue in her possession on Milling Street.

While $500 personal recognizance bonds were set on the two Drug Paraphernalia charges, $2,500 cash or surety bonds were set on the three other warrants yesterday. Ericka Jean Canfield remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning with those bonds totaling $7,500.
