Multiple Firearms Charges

Multiple firearms charges were served yesterday following an incident in Laurens Tuesday. 33-year-old Terrence Orlando Cunningham of 914 Boyd Road, Laurens was placed in the Johnson Detention Center in the overnight hours Wednesday morning. Laurens Police yesterday served warrants charging him with Discharging a Firearm in the City, Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol and Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Convicted of a Violent Crime.

The warrants cite an investigation by Sgt. Gallo as indicating that on November 6th at 900 Church Street, Cunningham was found to be in possession of a Cobra .380 pistol. They state he is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition because of the Federal Gun Control law of 1968. The possession was also cited as unlawful carrying of a pistol. Cunningham is also accused of discharging the Cobra pistol at 900 Church Street Tuesday.

Cash or surety bonds were set totaling $52,500 during arraignment yesterday. Terrence Orlando Cunningham remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
