Multiple Offenses, Habitual Offender

Multiple traffic charges were served yesterday on a Woodruff man the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tuesday. 29-year old Billy Michael Evans of 1645 West Georgia Road, Woodruff is now charged with 2nd Offense Failure to Stop for a Blue Light, 3rd Offense Driving under Suspension and Habitual Offender. A 4th warrant charges Malicious Damage.

Deputy Beau Roberson initially issued tickets charging Evans with Driving with Improper Vehicle License and Operating and Unsecured Vehicle at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon on Highway 92 and Bramlett Church Road.

Warrants citing an investigation by Deputy Roberson state that on November 6th in Laurens County Billy Michael Evans failed to stop when signaled by siren and flashing lights on a law enforcement vehicle. He was allegedly driving with his license suspended. He was further declared to be an Habitual Offender by his driving a vehicle while prohibited from driving. Evans also is accused of doing damage valued at under $2,000 to property of the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office.

Cash or surety bonds were set totaling $29,000 on the charges from the four warrants and another $672.50 on the two tickets.

Billy Michael Evans` was also held for a Spartanburg County charge of Violation Probation.
