2nd Arrest Alleging Armed Robbery

   A second arrest has been made in a Laurens armed robbery last week. Laurens City Police arrested 21-year-old Price Grant III of Apartment 121 at 218 Spring Street, Laurens Friday and charged him with Armed Robbery and Possession of a Weapon in a Violent Crime.

   Detective Bryant Cheek states that an investigation indicates that Mr. Grant committed the violent act of Armed Robbery with intent to deprive an employee of Rack-n-Roll with money, while armed with a handgun, a deadly weapon. This allegedly occurred at the business at 758 East Main in Laurens on January 8th. A second warrant states that Price Grant had a weapon, a handgun, during the Armed Robbery.

  While a $40,000 bond was set on the Weapons charge, bond was denied on the Armed Robbery warrant. Price Grant III remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
