Drug & Domestic Violence Charges

   Officer Van Pelt issued tickers charging Thompson with Simple Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia at 1:25 Sunday morning at unit 17 of 200 Hardin Road. A Meth Possession warrant, citing an investigation by Officer Van Pelt, states that on January 13th Mr. Thompson had .7 gram of meth in his possession at 200 Hardin Road, Laurens, discovered during a lawful encounter by police.

   John Paul Thompson was also served a warrant charging 3rd Degree Domestic Violence back in November. Citing an investigation of Officer Blackstock, it alleges that on November 8th of 2018 at 200 Hardin Road, John Paul Thompson placed his hand around his girlfriend’s neck, preventing her from breathing, and that he threw her on the bed and pressed her face against the bed with his hand, placing her in fear for her safety. The victim and subject reportedly lived together as boyfriend and girlfriend.

    John Paul Thompson remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning with cash or surety bonds ton his four charges totaling $7,815.
