Charges from Laurens and Clinton

A woman Laurens Police arrested early yesterday morning is now charged with a Drug Offense in Laurens yesterday and with a property crime in Clinton last month.

49-year-old Debbie Beck Hall was booked early yesterday noting an address of 214 Headquarters Loop Road, Spartanburg. Later in the day, she was served a warrant charging her with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute. That warrant cites an investigation by Officer Van Pelt as indicating that Ms. Beck had approximately 1.2 gram of crystal methamphetamine in her possession, discovered early yesterday morning following a traffic stop on North Harper Street.

Clinton Police yesterday served a warrant charging Ms. Hall with being one of three suspects in an Enhanced Shoplifting from the Pilot Travel Center of Highway 56, off Interstate 26 last month. That warrant, listing Sgt. Anthony Harris as the prosecuting officer, states that on January 20th Ms. Hall, along with two co-defendants, unlawfully took possession of and carried away merchandise valued at less than $2,000 from the Pilot Travel Center. It states that Ms. Hall has at least three prior property crime convictions, making her charge Enhanced Shoplifting.

While a Clinton Municipal Judge set a $1,000 personal recognizance bond on the Enhanced Shoplifting case, a Laurens Judge set a $35,000 cash or surety bond on the Possession of Meth with Intent to Distribute charge from yesterday morning. Debbie Beck Hall remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
