4 Crimes Alleged by 2 Agencies

A local man is facing four property crime charges from two law enforcement agencies following his arrest yesterday by Laurens Police. They charged 28-year-old Allen Antonio Henry of 107 Creamer Street, Laurens with Larceny/Breaking into an Automobile and with two counts of Receiving Stolen Goods. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office charged Mr. Henry with one count of Petit Larceny.

Laurens Police Detective Jones states that on October 26, 2018 Henry unlawfully possessed and sold several items taken from a victim during a Burglary at 1011 North Harper Street. The items were listed as a drill, a chain saw and an air compressor.

Two warrants cite an investigation of Laurens Police Sgt. Sellers alleging a burglary and selling of items stolen in the burglary. One warrant alleges that Allen Henry broke into a motor vehicle between the 11th and 18th of January. He’s accused of subsequently selling the items through a third party, and that law enforcement recovered the stolen radio. A warrant charging Auto Breaking and Entering states that Henry broke into a motor vehicle and stole an aftermarket radio with speakers, a speaker box and an amplifier.

A Sheriff’s Office warrant charging Petit Larceny – Enhanced, from an investigation by Deputy Staton, alleges that Mr. Henry took a Stihl chain saw valued at $500.

Allen Antonio Henry remained in the Johnson Detention Center early this morning, awaiting arraignment on the four charges.
