Multiple Charges for Cross Hill Man

A Cross Hill man is facing multiple charges following his arrest by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office yesterday. 31-year-old Jerry James Brown of 491 South Lake Forest Drive, Cross Hill is charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol, Receiving Stolen Goods, Failure to Stop for a Blue Light and Driving under Suspension.

Warrants state that on February 6th Brown was driving with his license suspended for a Felony DUI charge. An investigation of Deputy Davenport was citing as indicating that also on February 6th Brown failed to stop the motor vehicle he was driving when signaled by means of siren and/or flashing lights on a law enforcement vehicle. He’s also accused of having possession of a license plate that was stolen out of the City of Greenwood and of unlawfully possessing a Taurus .38 Revolver, which he is not authorized to possess. Jerry James Brown remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning with bonds on his charges totaling $16,647.50
