Theft and Weapons Charges

A Clinton resident is facing firearms charges as well as allegations of a theft. Clinton Police yesterday arrested 18-year-old Shimeek Nashown Gaskins of 1103 South Bell Street, Clinton was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol, Carrying or Displaying Firearm in Public and with Petit Larceny. Warrants were unavailable during our check this morning to provide any details on the charges. Gaskins was held overnight in the Johnson Detention Center, apparently awaiting arraignment on the three charges.

 

Laurens Police arrested a city resident early yesterday morning regarding an alleged theft at his home last month. 21-year-old Christopher Ryan Cain of 100 Lake Street, Laurens was charged with Petit Larceny. A warrant cites an investigation of Sgt. Gallo as indicating that on January 18th at 100 Lake Street Cain stole an Apple i-phone 8 plus from another person.

Christopher Cain was released on a $1,000 surety bond on the Petit Larceny charge, and after also apparently satisfying demands from a Bench Warrant. It stated he was convicted in Magistrate’s Court July 24, 2018 for a Driving under Suspension charge.
