Probation Violations in Laurens and Aiken

A resident of the Owings Community was booked in Laurens County yesterday and charged with violations of probations, apparently alleged to have occurred here in Laurens County and in Aiken County. 23-year-old Gregory Chandler Metz of 14106 Highway 14, Gray Court was served with two Violation of Probation warrants.

One warrant alleges that Metz moved without his agent’s knowledge, thereby absconding supervision, as evidenced by a home visit April 10th, 2018. He’s also accused failing to follow instructions of his agent, such as failing to submit to a urinalysis test. A second warrant accuses Mets of failing to report to the Aiken County Probation office on October 19, 2017 and cites specific manners in which he allegedly failed to follow advice and instructions of his agent there.

Gregory Chandler Metz remained in Laurens County’s Johnson Detention Center this morning with bonds set on the two charges totaling $37,500.
