Grand Theft Pickup

Laurens Police arrested a Spartanburg County woman yesterday on charges alleging unlawful drug possession in town Monday. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office added charges from a vehicle theft here in December of 2017.

Laurens Police charged 37-year-old Leslie Mack Davis of McAbee Road, Roebuck with Possession of a Schedule 4 Narcotic. A warrant cites the investigation of Laurens Police Officer Gault as indicating that on March 11th Davis was in possession of a schedule 4 narcotic at 101 Green Street in Laurens.  A $2,500 bond was set on that charge during arraignment.

The Sheriff’s Office yesterday charged Ms. Davis with Grand Larceny and Malicious Damage for her alleged actions on December 11th, 2017. She is accused of taking a victim’s 2016 Chevrolet Silverado pickup that date with intent to permanently deprive the owner. A warrant further alleges that Leslie Davis later wrecked that vehicle. A second warrant, charging Malicious Damage, states that on December 11th of 2017 Ms. Davis did damage to the same victim’s mailbox by running over it. Bonds on the Grand Larceny and Malicious Damage warrants were set totaling $22,000

Leslie Mack Davis remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
