  • Softball: Hillcrest 11 – Laurens 7… The Raider softball team hosted the Rams of Hillcrest in non-region action last night… The Raiders lost to the Rams at Hillcrest a couple of weeks ago 8-1 in a game where the Raiders had 8 errors that aided the Rams… They were trying not to repeat those mistakes last night but unfortunately the Raiders came down with another bad case of “erroritis” as they committed 9 errors which helped the Rams take an 11-7 win… Rachel Delio pitched well enough to win as she struck out 9 and walked only 2 while giving up just 9 hits and only 3 of the Rams 11 runs were earned… The Raiders never stopped battling as they scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning… The Raiders actually outhit the Rams 13-9 with Delio going 4 for 4 and one of those hits was a solo homer her first of the season…. Bre Posey and Vanessa Harshaw each had 2 hits…  For the game’s box score and some stats, click on the following: 4-1-19-3-LSB-Hillcrest… For the games scorecard, click on the following: 4-1-19-3-LSB-Hillcrest-SC… The Raiders are back in action tonight as they travel to Greenwood to take on the Eagles.
