PC Notes:

  • Softball: Charleston Southern 8 – PC 3… Back on Wednesday the Blue Hose softball team hosted the Buccaneers of Charleston Southern and they were just too nice of a host as the Bucs took an 8-3 win over the Blue Hose… For more details on the game click here… The team will be idle this weekend and will not see action again until next Tuesday when the travel to Winthrop
  • Baseball: Georgia Southern 10 – PC 5… The Blue Hose baseball team traveled to Georgia Southern back on Tuesday to take on the Eagles and I’m afraid the news is not good for PC fans as the Eagles took a 10-5 win… For more information on the game, click here… Weather permitting the baseball team will start a 3-game home series with UNC-Ashville starting at 3:00 pm today and continue tomorrow and Sunday.

Local Notes

CHS Red Devils:

  • Softball: Clinton 12 – Newberry 3… Back on Wednesday the Red Devil softball team traveled to Newberry to take on the Bulldogs and the ride back was a happy one as the Red Devils took a 12-3 win… I’m afraid that is all I can tell you about the game as Coach Caughman has not uploaded the results to Game Changer as he usually does…. The Red Devils will travel to Lauren Monday for a JV-Varsity double header with the Raiders and I hope you can make it over but if not we do plan on bringing you the varsity game here on Real Radio 860 and 104.1 WLBG and streaming live on the internet at

LDHS: Raiders:

  • Baseball: JL Mann 7 – Laurens 5… The JL Mann Patriots and the Laurens Raiders battled for the second time in 3 days last night at Ed Prescott Field… As you may recall the Patriots took a 4-1 win on Tuesday in Greenville to increase their region lead over the Raiders to 2 games…  Well after last night the region lead is up to 3 games as the Patriots took a 7-5 win over the Raiders where only 4 of the seven Mann runs were earned as the Raiders found themselves bitten by the error bug again last night… The game was scoreless until the 4th inning when Mann’s Chris Payne blasted a 3-run homer over the right field fence to put Mann up 3-0… The Raiders got one of those runs back in the bottom of the on an RBI double by Kobe Williams driving in the courtesy runner for Zac Rice… The Raiders scored 2 runs in the 5th inning mainly due to a Mann error to tie the game 3-3… Mann jumped back on top in the 6th inning 3 runs on only 2 hits and were helped by a couple of Raider errors… The added another in the top of the 7th to go up 7-3 but the Raiders did not go quietly in the bottom of the inning as they scored 2 runs and left the bases loaded to make the final 7-5… Kobe Williams led the Raiders on offense as he was the only Raider with more than 1 hit as he went 2 for 4 with a double and 3 RBIs… For the game’s box score and some stats, click on the following: 4-4-19-LBB-Mann… For the games scorecard, click on the following: 4-4-19-LBB-Mann-SC
