Local Notes:

CHS Red Devils:

  • Softball Game Cancelled… The Red Devil softball team was scheduled to go to Ware Shoals to take on the Hornets yesterday but the Hornets’ field is down at the bottom of a hill and was too wet to play…. There are no plans to make up the game.
  • Baseball at Home Tonight… The Red Devil baseball team closes out its region schedule tonight at home hosting the Newberry Bulldogs… This is a very important game for 2 reasons… One it is Senior Night as the Red Devils honor their seniors… Secondly I believe that if the Red Devils are going to make the playoffs they must win the game tonight and will also need a little help in that one of the other region teams must defeat Woodruff for them…  Make plans to come on out and support the Red Devils in varsity action about 7:30.
  • Tennis: Clinton 5 – Newberry 1… Catching up with the Red Devil boys’ tennis team, last Thursday they traveled down to Newberry to take on the Bulldogs… Good news for Red Devil fans as they took a 5-1 win to keep their region record a perfect 8-0… In singles action Ike Waldron, Connor Donley, Anders Orr, Hayden Minor and Brandon Campbell all took wins… For more specific information on this match, click here.

  • Baseball at Home Tonight… The Raider varsity baseball team will be at home tonight hosting the Easley Green Wave in a 6:00 pm contest… The Raiders are currently tied with Greenwood for 3rd place in the region… If they want to hold on to that spot they need to defeat Easley tonight and again Friday at Easley… Come out and cheer the Raiders on but if you can’t we do plan on bringing you the game hear on Real Radio 860 and 104.1 WLBG as well as stream it live in the internet at
