Final Days of Campaigning

The final days of campaigning are here for the special election for South Carolina House of Representatives District 14. Voters in specific areas of Laurens and Greenwood Counties go to the polls Tuesday to decide between Democrat Garrett McDaniel and Republican Stewart Jones. The polls will be open Tuesday, April 23rd from 7 am to 7 pm. People who meet at least one of the reasons to vote absentee area already voting.

The special election was called after Representative Mike Pitts resigned, shortly after winning his 9th term in the State House. Since both McDaniel and Stewart are members of Laurens County Council, another special election will be called to replace the winner of Tuesday’s election on County Council.
