30-Year-Old Gets 35 Year Sentence

Xzariera Gray, who was convicted of murder late last Thursday night, was sentenced yesterday morning during a sentencing hearing at the Greenwood County Courthouse. Circuit Judge Frank Addy Jr. sentenced the 30-year-old man to 35 years in prison for the murder charge and five years in prison for the possession of a weapon during the commission of violent crime, with that sentence to be served consecutively to the sentence on the murder charge. Both sentences are to be served concurrently with the sentence Gray is currently serving for a probation violation. Gray was given credit for 624 days served since the date of his arrest.

A jury returned a guilty verdict late last Thursday night after a four-day trial on the charges that he fatally shot another man during an altercation.
