5 Year Sentence on Burglary Plea

Five years in jail on a Burglary charge was among results of pleas entered by one man before Judge Don Hocker in Laurens County General Sessions Court yesterday. 29-year-old Christopher Kevin Boggs of 6307 Highway 14, Gray Court pled to 2nd Degree Burglary. He was sentenced to 10 years, but that was suspended to 5 years with Boggs receiving credit for 8 months already served. He is also to serve 2 years on probation.

Boggs also pled guilty to Disseminating Obscene Material to a person under Age 18 and was sentenced to the same ten years, reduced to five with two years on probation. This sentence included ATU and being on the Sex Offender Registry.

Charges dismissed for Christopher Kevin Boggs include Manufacturing Meth, Distribution of Meth, Manufacturing Meth in the Presence of Children and Disposal of Meth Waste. Other charges dismissed were Manufacturing or Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, Possession with Intent within Proximity of a School, Enhanced Shoplifting and another charge of Disseminating Obscene Material to a person under Age 18.
