Two Women Allegedly Assault A Man

Two women are accused of assault attempts on a Waterloo man in Laurens County Wednesday of this week. One is also charged with two thefts from the same victim.

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office charged 42-year-old Julie Ann Gambrell of 2428 Juniper Drive, Augusta, Georgia with 1st Degree Assault and Battery. A warrant states that on June 5th Ms. Gambrell intentionally entered into oncoming traffic and attempted to strike a vehicle being driven by the victim head-on.

29-year-old Brandy Nicole Pardue of 1429 SC Highway 10, McCormick was charged with 1st Degree Assault and Battery along with both Grand and Petit Larceny. She is accused of displaying a knife before the same victim in an aggressive manner. Ms. Pardue is also accused of taking a 2006 Chevrolet HHR valued at $3,000 and of carrying away a black backpack and a Samsung phone with intent to deprive the same man of the property.

Warrants on both women cited an investigation by Deputy Anderson. Julie Ann Campbell and Brandy Nicole Pardue both were being held overnight, awaiting their bond hearings.
