Separate Cases Allege Meth Possession

Two men arrested yesterday morning were served with Meth charges in warrants served later in the day. In separate cases, both are charged with Possession of Less than One Gram of Methamphetamine.

Booked in the early morning hours for Laurens Police was 44-year-old Doyle Wayne Roberts of 261 Forest Road, Clinton. An investigation of Sgt. Billy Sellers is cited in a warrant as indicating that on June 11th Roberts had in his possession two packages of methamphetamine which he attempted to destroy inside a beverage bottle. This reportedly occurred during a lawful traffic stop on Watts Street.

A second man facing a Meth Possession charge was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office yesterday morning. He’s 51-year-old Ricky Lee Goode of 111 Cedar Grove Church Road, Laurens. His warrant states he was in possession of less than a gram of meth yesterday.

Both men remained in custody this morning.
