More Infrastructure in Hunter Industrial Park

As Laurens’ Hunter Industrial Park continues growing, the need for new infrastructure is being addressed. During the June meeting of the Laurens Commission of Public Works last night, the commissioners approved resolutions authorizing new electrical and sewer services to the industrial park. Both require changes to the 2019 CPW budget.

Resolution 19-02 authorizes General Manager John Young to execute a

contract with Martin Brother’s Construction Company of Gray Court to install approximately 1,700 feet of eight-inch sanitary sewer lines in the park. That will cost $243,176.05.

Resolution 19-03 authorizes Mr. Young to execute a contract with Williams Construction for that company to install approximately 13,000 feet of underground electrical lines and associated equipment in Hunter Industrial Park. That will cost $139,300.00.
