PC Notes:

PC Season Football Tickets on Sale

  • PC has 6 home games this season and the first one is on Saturday, Sept 14 when the Blue Hose host Jacksonville.
  • Blue chair back reserve seats are only $90.00 for the entire 6-game home season.
  • Parking is $5 per game but season parking passes are available for $25.
  • Per game seating (subject to availability) is $20 per game for chair type seats bench general admission will be $10 per seat for adults and $5 for students.

  • Last Day to Register for Camps is Today… Today is the last day to register for the Ultimate Frisbee Camp and Baby Sitting Camp at the Laurens Family YMCA… Look in the This and That Section below for more details.
  • All-Sports Camp at Laurens Academy starts Monday… Look in the This and That Section below for more details.
  • Youth Cheerleading Camp at LDHS… This camp for those ages 4-12 will start next Thursday… Look in the This and That Section below for more details.
  • Women’s World Cup Soccer… Team USA will take on the Netherlands on Sunday at 11:00 am our time for the championship in the Women’s World Cup 2019 Tournament in France … It can be seen of FOX.
  • NASCAR… For you casual NASCAR fans, the Xfinity Firecracker 250 will be tonight at 7:00 pm and can be seen on NBC Sports Network or the NBC Sports App… The Monster Energy Cup Series Coke Zero Sugar 400 will be tomorrow at Daytona and the race will start at 7:30 and can be seen on NBC.

  • Braves 12 – Phillies 6… The Braves and the Phillies completed their current three-game series last night in Atlanta with the Braves taking a come from behind 12-6 win… The Phillies put 4 runs on the board in the top of the first inning but the Braves got 2 of them back in the bottom of the inning… They then tied the game in the bottom of the second and then took the lead for good in the third inning as they put 3 runs on the board on the strength of a 3-run homer by Ozzie Albies (14)… Both teams had 12 hits each but 5 of the Braves hits were homers…. In addition to Albies homer, Dansby Swanson (17) had a pair of homers, while both Freddie Freeman (23) and Josh Donaldson (17) added a homer each… The win also gave the Braves the series win 2 games to 1… The Braves will now host the Miami Marlins this weekend and then take a break for the All-Star game.

 

  • RiverDogs 8 – Drive 7… The Greenville Drive started a 4-game series with the Charleston RiverDogs at Flour Field last night and the Drive let one get away as they led 7-3 going into the top of the eighth inning but the RiverDogs came back to take an 8-7 win… The RiverDogs scored 4 runs in the eighth inning to tie the game and then picked up what would prove to be the winning run in the top of the ninth inning… The Drive actually outhit the RiverDogs 10-7 but 3 Drive pitchers gave up 9 walks which did figure into the final score.

All-Sports Camp at Laurens Academy… Laurens Academy will be hosting an All-Sports Camp next week (July 8-12) for youth in grades 3-6… The cost is $90 and you register Monday out at Laurens Academy where the camps start at 9:00 am and run until noon… Snacks and a T-shirt are included in the price… Boys Camp… Football (Monday & Tuesday), basketball (Wednesday and Thursday) and baseball on Friday… Girls Camp… Volleyball (Monday and Tuesday), basketball (Wednesday and Thursday) and Softball on Friday

 

LDHS Youth Cheerleading Camp… On Thursday, July 11th the Laurens raider JV and Varsity cheerleaders will be holding a one-day camp from 9:00 am until noon in the auxiliary gym at LDHS… The camp is for ages 4-12 and they will be working on a cheerleading routine to present at the Clinton vs. Laurens game on August 30th… For more information about this camp click here and/or email Ashley Hall at ahall@laurens55.org… To get a copy of the registration form click here.

 

Raider Youth Softball Camp… Starting June 10th and running through August 26th Coach Michaela Smith will be offering a FREE softball camp on Mondays for young ladies in grades 1-6…. There is no registration required and all you need to bring is your glove… Again the clinic is free and it is on Mondays at the LDHS softball field or adjacent hitting building from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm… If you have any questions email Coach Smith at: mesmith@laurens55.org

 

Clinton YMCA Summer Sports Camps, Swimming Lessons and Pool Schedule… The Clinton YMCA has a full summer of sports camps scheduled and again this summer they will be offering swimming lessons just about every week…. Laurens YMCA Summer Sports and Specialty Camps … Starting July 1st, the Laurens family YMCA will be having several sports and specialty camps… All camps cost $50 for YMCA members and $60 for non-members…. The next 2 camps are: Ultimate Frisbee for ages 12-21, July 9-12 and a Babysitting July 16-18 for youth ages 12-15… Again click here for more details.
