Probation Violations from 2018

An Anderson County man was booked in Laurens County’s Detention Center yesterday for State Probation and Parole. 24-year-old Charles Niles Ramsey II of 825 Joe Black Road, Williamston was charged with Violation of Probation.

The warrant gives examples of times he’s accused of being in violation of his probationary release last year, failing to follow the advice and instructions of his probation agent. These include failing to report September 19th, not having been heard from since August 15th. He’s accused of failing to notify his agent of a change of address, discovered in a home visit on July 25th of 2018. This resulted in his whereabouts being unknown, thereby absconding supervision.

Mr. Ramsey is further accused of violating federal, state and local law last year. The warrant states these violations are evidenced by Greenville County arrests July 10th on a 2nd Offense Possession of Meth charge, June 26th on a Disorderly Conduct case and September 24th of last year when he was charged with Throwing Bodily Fluids at Law Enforcement.

Ramsey is also accused of failing to complete Agency-ordered Substance Abuse and Family Counseling and failure to pay required fees.

Charles Niles Ramsey II was held overnight, awaiting a bond hearing.
