Burglary with Violation of Court Order

Bond was denied yesterday on a Burglary charge on a Western Laurens County man. 30-year-old Matthew Stephen McGee of 182 Cline Road, Ware Shoals was arrested Wednesday by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, accused of a 2nd Degree Burglary of his marital home early this month. A warrant citing an investigation by Deputy Boyd alleged that on July 2nd McGee entered a dwelling at 182 Cline Road, Ware Shoals without consent and with intent to commit a crime therein; by removing a window air conditioner unit and entering the residence through the window. He’s further accused of entering the victims closet and taking items belonging to her. The warrant states he was on trespass order from the location in a court order.

Bond was denied on the 2nd Degree Burglary charge yesterday. Deputy Shawn Davis issued tickets also charging Mr. McGee with Breach of Peace and Trespassing at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon at 182 Cline Road. Bonds were set on those charges yesterday totaling $1,345. Matthew McGee remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
