Failure to Stop for Blue Lights

Failure to stop for Laurens Police in the early morning hours yesterday was cited in a warrant served later in the day. 25-year-old Candace Nicole Sprowl of 107 Moss Creek Lane, Greenwood was charged with Failure to Stop for Blue Light. The warrant cites the investigation of Lt. Simmons as indicating that on July 11th the defendant continued to operate her motor vehicle on North Harper Street after being signaled with blue lights and audible sirens to pull over for a lawful traffic stop for a traffic violation. She reportedly continued 2.4 miles without yielding until officers were able to get her stopped. This reportedly occurred on North Harper Street within the city limits of Laurens. With a $5,000 bond set on the charge during arraignment yesterday, Ms. Sprowl remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
