Laurens County Students Honored by Lander

Several Laurens County residents were among undergraduate students recognized by Lander University with the honor of making the President’s List during the spring semester of the 2018-2019 school year. To qualify for the President’s List, a student must earn a GPA of 4.0 over the course of the semester.

Laurens County residents making the President’s List for Spring 2019 Semester are Alicia Campbell, of Gray Court; Valorie Colvert, of Cross Hill; Rikki Johnson, of Gray Court; Grayson Peoples, of Clinton; Mekensie Therrien, of Gray Court; Katelyn Tinsley, of Clinton; Kendall Wakester, of Waterloo; Claire Yochem, of Mountville; and Heidi Ziegler, of Laurens.

Casey Wood of Ware Shoals was among Greenwood County residents on the President’s List this spring semester.

Lander University also announced the names of undergraduate students who are recognized with the honor of making the Dean’s List, during the spring semester. To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must earn a GPA between 3.5 and 3.9 over the course of the semester. Laurens County students on the Spring 2019 Dean’s List at Lander are Julia Burdette of Ware Shoals; Matthew Campbell of Laurens; Elizabeth Childress of Clinton; Elexis Emery of Waterloo; Michael Gopaul of Waterloo; James Hill of Laurens; Hannah Hipp of Clinton; Sonnie Holliday of Laurens; Anna Mitchum of Laurens; Caleb Moss of Ware Shoals; Sarah Prince of Cross Hill; Darian Ray of Ware Shoals; Kelsey Sharpe of Laurens; Megan Shelton of Laurens; Amberlea Smith of Waterloo; Jessi Vinson of Laurens; James Whitt of Gray Court and Katelyn Witt of Ware Shoals. Dean’s List students from the Greenwood County portion of Ware Shoals are Natalie Bishop and  Kaitlyn Blakley.

Lander University also announced the undergraduate students who have been named to the Freshman Honor Roll for earning top academic achievements during the 2018-19 school year. The Freshman Honor Roll recognizes first year students achieving a GPA of 3.00-3.49 during their freshman year at the university. Laurens County residents achieving the honor were Raylyn Garner from the Princeton area and Arielle Wilder of Ware Shoals.
