Meth Trafficking One of 4 Charges on 3 Suspects

Trafficking in Methamphetamine is one of four drug-related charges served on three people by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office following their arrests Friday.

30-year-old Olin Christopher Rhodes II of 1445 Highway 92, Enoree

and 34-year-old Misty Griffin Smith of 3108 Bramlett Church Road, Gray Court

They’re are each charged with Trafficking in Meth, Possession of a Firearm during Commission of a Violent Felony, Possession of Ecstasy with Intent to Distribute and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Mr. Russ’s Possession with Intent to Distribute Ecstasy charge was noted as a 2nd Offense.

Warrants citing the work of Investigator Nations state that Russ, Rhodes and Smith were found in possession of between 10 and 28 grams of methamphetamine Friday, without legal authority. Each of the three are accused of willfully and knowingly being in possession of a Baretta PX-4 and a Keltec .380 handgun while committing the crime of Trafficking in Meth. Each of the three defendants are accused of being found in possession of four individual bags containing a different amount of Ecstasy in each bag. This Possession with Intent to Distribute Ecstasy charge was noted as a 2nd Offense for Brandon Mac Russ. All three are also accused of being in possession, Friday, of Suboxone Strips, a schedule 3 controlled substance.

All three suspects remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning with bonds on the four charges totaling $45,000 for Brandon Mac Russ, $36,500 for Olin Christopher Rhodes II and $21,500 for Misty Griffin Smith.
