Local Notes

Laurens County Speedway results from the main events last Saturday night:

  • Carolina Sprint Series… The Carolina Sprint Series visited the LCS last Saturday night and Steve Surniak drove a car which bore the number “1st” and that is just where he finished in the race… He started on the front row and quickly jumped out to the lead and the only thing that slowed him down were cautions… Jake Karlkin was second and Brandon McLain third.
  • 4-Cylinder… Phillip Wilson was running third near the end of the 4-cylinder main event but when the leaders Scott Nelson and J.R. baker crashed he took over the lead and got the win… Aaron Summitt was close behind taking second and Bubba Kolb third.
  • Limited… Frank Coates took a quick lead in the Limited main event and eventually took the win holding off Tony Quarles who finished second… Josh Richeson finished third.
  • SECA 604 Crate… Brad Rachels and Danny Howell started on the front row in the SECA 604 Crate main event and Rachels quickly pulled out to the lead and winning the race with Howell finishing second just under a second behind him… Mac Huey took third.
  • FWD… Seth Smith won the FWD main event for the third time in four weeks but it was not an easy win as he battled Billy Medlin and Shawn Nichols until about halfway through the race when he took the lead and went on to the win… Travis Jamieson and Josh Dawson were the next two drivers to get the checkered flag in that order.
  • 602 Crate… Rod Tucker took an easy win in the caution-free 602 Crate Main event finishing almost 2 seconds in front of Colby Cannon… Colt Smith finished third.
  • Thunder Bombers… Dylan Chappell won the Thunder Bomber main event fairly easily… The real battle was for second where Dan Lawson held off Scott Pulley
