Local Notes

Laurens County Speedway… results from the main events last Saturday night

  • Thunder Bombers… In the Thunder Bombers, Dylan Chappell survived a caution filled race and took the win on a green-white-checkered finish… Dan Lawson finished second and Scott Pulley third…. After the race was over Lawson protested the motor and clutch in Chappell’s car and Chappell likewise protested the same in Lawson’s car… Neither protest was upheld.
  • Limited… In the Limited main event, Deano Long started on the poll and used that to take the lead at the green flag and never trailed…       Frank Coates and Tony Quarles were the next two to see the checkered flag.

  • 602 Crate… The 602 Crate main event had 2 cautions in the first two laps but through it all Travis Morgan had the lead and went on to take the win… Baron McDowell and Colt Smith were the next two to see the checkered flag in that order.
  • FWD… When the Front Wheel Drive main event started, Seth Smith was fourth place but that’s not where he finished as he took advantage of mechanical problems and spinouts by those in front of him to grab the lead and the win… Joel Cabe finished second and Travis Jamison third.
  • 4-Cylinder… The 4-cylinder main event was a rare caution-free race which saw Philip Wilson take the lead a couple of laps into the race and take the win… J.R. Baker was second and Scott Nelson was third.
  • Young Guns… In Young Guns main event, Landen Davis eventually took the win after the early leader T.J. Teal “kissed” the wall… Kayley Garner came in second and Teal third.
