Break-in Woman’s Car, Taking Xanax

A resident of the Maddens Community has been accused of breaking into a woman’s car and stealing drugs this week. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office yesterday arrested 35-year-old Wendell Lee Hill of Wilma Lane, Laurens and charged him with Breaking into a Vehicle and with Petit Larceny. In warrants, Deputy Davenport states that on August 21st Mr. Hill broke into a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado without authority and carried away 70 Xanax pills along with $20 in United States currency.

Wendell Hill was also served a Bench Warrant from Laurens County Family Court. Judge Turner issued the warrant this summer on June 26th citing Hill with failure to appear in court and with failure to make support payments.

Wendell Lee Hill was awaiting arraignment on the vehicle break-in and Xanax theft charges. He was also placed on hold for additional charges.
