  • Raider and Boiling Springs Take the Field at KC Hanna
  • Last night the Raiders had their last scrimmage of the preseason as they took on the Boiling Springs Bulldogs… The Raiders started slow and the Bulldogs took advantage of a Raider fumble to set up and early score… After that the Raiders started getting more physical and the two teams played to pretty much a draw after that… The Raiders were missing a couple of offensive weapons running backs Duane Martin and Jordan Woodruff who have slight injuries but are expected to be ready to play for the season opener with Clinton… The two teams even managed to give their JV teams some playing time last night… Coach Liner agreed with the statement that the team looks better at this point of the preseason than it did last year.

  • Raider Sports Rally and Preview… Prior to the scrimmage the second Annual Raider Sports Rally and Review took place and by the looks on fans faces especially the younger Raider fans it was a hit… All the sports set up tables that had players and coaches present to talk about their teams and hand out schedules… There were also bounce houses for the younger ones that were a big hit and Raider gear for sale… Prizes were also raffled off during the scrimmage from tickets sold during the rally… Younger fans were also allowed to run through the Raider Helmet onto the field just before the Raider scrimmage.

  • Braves 5 – Marlins 0Normally when one baseball team outhits another 7-3 you would expect them to win the game and would never imagine that they would be shutout… Well last night the marlins outhit the Braves 7-3 down in Atlanta but lost the game 5-0… In the 2nd inning Tyler Flowers tripled driving in Josh Donaldson and that was followed by Adeiny Hechavarria homering (6) for the Braves to Drive in Donaldson to make it 3-0… The Braves other run came in the 5th inning when Ronald Acuna Jr. hit his 36th homer of the year a two-run shot to center field.
