Three Greenwood Men Facing Firearms Charges

Three young Greenwood men are facing firearms charges from the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, following overnight arrests from Tuesday night. Placed in the Johnson Detention Center early Wednesday were 18-year-old Kentayvis Markeese Goode of McKellar Drive, 19-year-old Raheem Shiqan McKee of Coleman Drive and 24-year-old Zeterius Rayshun Jones of Wellington Drive. Goode, McKee and Jones are all charged with Possession of a Stolen Pistol and Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm.

Warrants citing an investigation of Deputy Sheriff Hampton state that on September 10th Kentayvis Goode, Raheem McKee and Zeterius Jones unlawfully possessed one Smith and Wesson 9 mm pistol that had been stolen from its owner. Each is further accused of storing a loaded handgun under the back seat of a vehicle, within reach. Neither is said to have had a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

The Sheriff’s Office served a third warrant on Kentayvis Goode, charging him with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. His third warrant, also citing investigation of Deputy Hampton, states that Goode unlawfully possessed a 2018 Husqvarna dirt bike, valued at $8,399, that had been stolen from its owner. This is also said to have been on September 10th.

With the stolen vehicle possession charge and the two firearms violations, cash or surety bonds were set for Mr. Goode totaling $16,000. Bonds on the two firearms charges were set totaling $6,000 for Raheem McKee and  Zeterius Jones. All three Greenwood men remained in Laurens County detention this morning.
