Low-Country Man Facing Multiple Charges Here

A Lake Moultrie area resident was served with multiple firearms charges yesterday, following an early morning arrest in Laurens County. The South Carolina Highway Patrol initially had traffic charges for 58-year-old Michael Henry Miller of General Moultrie Drive, Bonneau, South Carolina.

Trooper Fagan issued tickets charging Miller with Driving under Suspension along with Driving an Unregistered & Unlicensed Vehicle on Fairview Road in Laurens County at 2:21 Thursday morning.

Warrants were served later yesterday charging the Lowcountry resident with Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol, Possession of a Stolen Pistol and Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Convicted Felon. Citing the investigation of Trooper Fagan, the warrants state that in Laurens County on September 12th Michael Henry Miller carried about his person a handgun, not being authorized to do so. Miller is further accused of unlawfully possessing a firearm with the serial number filed off. A third warrant alleges that Miller had a loaded handgun in his pocket yesterday morning, while his criminal history shows felony convictions.

Michael Henry Miller remained in custody earlier this morning, still awaiting a bond hearing.
