Gouging Her Eye During Kidnapping & Assault

Gouging a woman’s eye this summer was part of the charges with a Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrest yesterday. 32-year-old Michael Brandon Bowie of 126 Shrine Club Road, Waterloo is charged with Kidnapping and Domestic Violence of a High and Aggravated Nature as well as Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.

Warrants allege that on July 23rd at a location on Driftwood Road, Cross Hill Michael Bowie grabbed the victim by her head, took her phone, threw her to the ground and began punching her in the face and on her head. He’s also accused of kicking her in the back, ribs and stomach and of forcing his finger into her right eye socket, causing the blood vessels to rupture.

On Whitten Road, Cross Hill the next day, July 24th, Bowie is accused of having a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe in his possession without the owner’s permission.

Michael Brandon Bowie was being held overnight in Laurens County’s Johnson Detention Center, pending a bond hearing on the charges.
