Meth Trafficking, Failing to Stop, Resisting Arrest

Drug Trafficking and Firearms charges are alleged with a late Wednesday night arrest by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office following a police chase. 39-year-old Ronnie Herman Knight of 147 Satterwhite Road, Laurens has been charged with Trafficking in Meth or Cocaine Base and two counts of unlawfully Possessing Controlled Substances. He’s also charged with Failure to Stop for Blue Lights and Resisting Arrest. Firearms warrants charge him with Possession of a Firearm in a Violent Crime and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.

Warrants allege that he was found in possession of 157 grams of Methamphetamine along with two other substances identified as schedule II and III drugs. He also allegedly was in possession of two handguns while trafficking in meth, a Jimenez JA 380 and a Smith and Wesson M&P 15. Clinton Police report the Jimenez was stolen.

In addition to failing to stop the vehicle he was driving when signaled to stop by siren and flashing lights from a law enforcement vehicle, Knight is further accused of resisting a lawful arrest by pushing and kicking the officer as he attempted to flee arrest.

Ronnie Herman Knight was being held a second night, awaiting arraignment on the seven charges.
