Laurens High One of Four Finalists for National Award

Laurens District 55 High School is one of four schools across the United States that has been selected as one of four finalists for a 2019 “School of the Year” competition from Tomorrow’s Technician magazine and WIX Filters, a global manufacturer of filtration products.

In addition to Laurens District 55 High School from Region 2, the other finalists are Oneida-Herkimer-Madison School of New Hartford, New York for Region 1, the Career and Technical Education Center of Kansas City, Missouri for Region 3 and East Valley Institute of Technology of Mesa, Arizona for Region 4.

The winner will be selected from the four finalists with a ceremony in November and a formal announcement during AAPEX.

The winning school will receive a visit by Tomorrow’s Tech staff and program sponsors and an appearance by the WIX Marketing Unit, if available, along with travel to the class instructor and a guest to Las Vegas to attend Babcox Media’s recognition dinner at AAPEX.

Each of the final four are to receive a $250 gift card from WIX filters.
