LDHS Homecoming Tonight – Youth Appreciation NEXT WEEK

A revived celebration of homecoming at Laurens District 55 High School began this week with a homecoming parade into Laurens on West Main Street described as a big success.

The celebration continues at this evening’s homecoming football game, hosting J.L. Mann at KC Hanna Stadium. Kickoff is 7:30 this evening. During halftime, the 2019 Homecoming Court will be presented and royalty for the 2019 year will be crowned.

Earlier today, we mistakenly announced earlier today that “Youth Appreciation Night” is being held tonight; however, that was a mistake.

District 55 indicates Youth Night is next week: Friday, October 25th, 2019.

That night, all youth and youth coaches wearing a jersey or cheer uniform from the City of Laurens Recreation League or the YMCA Recreation League will be admitted free into the game.

Parents will need to purchase tickets and enter GATE B with the child. If parents are season ticket or pass holders, they may come through GATE A with their child.

“Youth Appreciation Night” begins at 7:00 Friday night, October 25th, with an opportunity for both youth football and cheerleaders to participate in the “Run Out with the Raiders.” Youth wishing to participate should meet at the flagpole at 7:00 p.m.

The kick-off for the game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. During halftime, the 2019 Homecoming court will be presented, and royalty for the 2019 year will be crowned.
