No New Installs During COVID-19 Crisis

New telephone or internet installation is now on hold at Piedmont Rural Telephone Cooperative, due to concern about the COVIN-19 virus. Effective yesterday, PRTC has implemented a work from home program and is limiting interaction between employees and customers. PRTC General Manager Randall Lis said, “The safety and well-being of our customers and our employees remains our highest priority, along with the responsibility to keep you connected. We are taking additional steps as the COVID-19 situation continues to escalate.”

Mr. Lis said, “Our technicians will be dispatched to perform emergency and hardship repairs only. We have temporarily suspended new service installations until further notice. We will continue to operate and provide customer service support and help desk functions as part of our work from home program.”

Randy Lis said that core network operations will continue in a business as usual mode to ensure that PRTC telephone and internet services remain up and running. While public access to the lobby of the PRTC offices on Anderson Drive had already been closed, due to the crisis, he said the drive-through window at 201 Anderson Drive will remain open Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm.
