Now 5 Deaths with COVID, 406 Confirmed Cases

Deaths of South Carolina residents with COVID-19 passed the 700 mark this weekend. The state total as of Sunday afternoon is 712 deaths, while Laurens County has now had 5 people who’ve died with the virus. DHEC reported 33,221 confirmed cases statewide as of yesterday afternoon with another 99 probable cases. Laurens County has now had 406 confirmed cases with one more noted as probable.

DHEC reported the spread of the virus by zip codes as of midnight Saturday night. This shows Clinton has had 175 confirmed cases, Laurens has 112 while Gray Court and Fountain Inn each have 107. Woodruff has 60 cases, Honea path 26 and Ware Shoals has 19. Enoree has had 13 cases, Waterloo has 11, Whitmire has 10, Kinards has 8, Cross Hill 7, Joanna 5, Mountville 4 and Chappells has 2.
