14 Laurens County Deaths with COVID-19; 755 Cases

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths of people with the disease continued to climb across South Carolina over the weekend. As of the Sunday afternoon DHEC update, the state has had 950 deaths of people with the virus. Total confirmed cases as of yesterday were 56,485.

Laurens County has now had 14 people die with COVID-19. As of yesterday afternoon, the total confirmed cases of Laurens County residents grew to 755. That represents a rate of 1,118.63 cases per 100,000 people.

The Clinton zip code continues to have the most confirmed cases during the pandemic, rising to 290 as of yesterday. Laurens has had 232. Gray Court has had 92 cases, Cross Hill 28, Waterloo 27, Mountville 10 and Joanna has recorded 9 cases. From zip codes that include residents of Laurens and at least one other county, Fountain Inn has now had 187 cases confirmed and Woodruff has 113. Honea Path has 41 while Enoree has 40. Ware Shoals has had 33 cases and Whitmire has recorded 25. Kinards has 9 cases while Chappells now has 6.
