Final Day for Absentee Voting for School Board

Today is the final day for absentee voting in the special election tomorrow for District 55 School Board. The special election is for Seat 4 on the Laurens County District 55 School Board. Seeking election for that school board position are James Michael “Mike” Hughes of Bucks Point Road and Betty Ann Neely of Brick House Road. Polls open at 7:00 tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, the final day of absentee voting his today from 9 to 5 in the Laurens County Elections Office on the ground floor of the Historic Laurens County Courthouse.

Another school board election is taking place tomorrow in Western Laurens County. A Ware Shoals District 51 School Board General Election is taking place in that district’s three-county area. Also tomorrow, a Ninety Six School District 52 General Election is being held in that area of Greenwood County.
