Meth Trafficking & Multiple Other Drug & Firearms Charges

Drug trafficking and multiple other drug offenses along with three firearms charges were served on a man Clinton police arrested yesterday. 35-year-old Robert Lamont Goggins of Morgan Street, Joanna was charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine plus 3rd or Subsequent Offense for Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy) with Intent to Distribute, 3rd or Subsequent Offender for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, 2nd Offense Possession of less than 28 grams of Hash Oil, Illegal Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. His weapons charges included Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol and Possession of Firearm or Ammunition by Person Convicted of Violent Felony.

Warrants allege that Robert Goggins had over 28 grams of methamphetamine in his possession yesterday along with MDMA (Ecstasy) with intent to distribute. He’s accused of having a quantity of marijuana in three separate packages and of having 43 dosage units of oxycodone, a schedule 2, controlled substance. Goggins allegedly had two containers with concentrated hash oil weighing less than 28 grams. He is also accused of possessing a set of electronic scales and a glass pipe with residue yesterday.

The firearm warrants state Goggins had two loaded handguns concealed on his person after having been declared a convicted felon. He reportedly has had two prior drug convictions.

While a $107 personal recognizance bond was set on the Possession of Drug Paraphernalia charge, bonds on the other drug and firearms warrants was denied. Robert Lamont Goggins remained in the Johnson Detention Center today.
