Video Store Closing

Family Video has announced it is closing its store in Laurens. The store on East Main has begun liquidating its merchandise with plans to be officially closed by the end of the year.

It appears the video store operator is closing all upstate locations. Family Video, noted as the last standing brick and mortar movie rental store, states its going to continue operating 250 stores across the Midwest.

Family Video has operated a store in Laurens since 2009.

Keith Hoogland, CEO of Highland Ventures Ltd., said “We are very thankful to have been able to provide entertainment for many family movie nights, and want to thank the people of Laurens and our incredible staff for the many years of support and service.”
