Possession of a quantity of unlawful drugs that signifies intent to distribute has been alleged following a Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrest Sunday night. 40-year-old Jessica Mills Kirkland of West Yellow Wood Drive, Simpsonville was initially issued a ticket charging her with Simple Possession of Marijuana around 9:30 Sunday night in the Princeton area of Western Laurens County. Yesterday, she was served a warrant also charging her with 1st offense, Distribution of Methamphetamine. She is accused of being found in possession of 1.6 grams of a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine during a lawful traffic stop Sunday.
Jessica Kirkland remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning with cash or surety bonds totaling $10,615 set on her charges.
