The Laurens Commission of Public Works issued a boil water advisory this weekend, encouraging residents on 26 streets to vigorously boil their water at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking, starting at 8:00 o’clock Sunday morning.
Water Division Director Will Patterson also stated that ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes.
