Child Neglect, Ill Treatment of Animals Alleged

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man and woman last Thursday for alleged neglect to children and ill treatment of animals. 33-year-old Wesley Kerwin Pulley and 24-year-old Emile Tale, both of an address on Holmes Street, Laurens, were each accused of four counts, Unlawful Neglect of Children along with two counts, Ill Treatment of Animals.

Information from the four counts of child neglect for each was not released. As for the warrants charging Ill Treatment of Animals, Sheriff’s Office warrants state that on April 1st in Laurens County Mr. Pulley and Ms. Tale forced a gray and white pit bull in their care to live inside under deplorable conditions amongst large amounts of feces, urine and trash. This animal reportedly suffered skin infections and severe hair loss. Wesley Kerwin Pulley and Emile Tale have apparently been released on bond.
