Pistol and Drugs Alleged

Presence of a pistol along with drugs was alleged with a Clinton Police arrest Saturday. 33-year-old Gregory Lamar Cullen of Cypress Street, Clinton was charged with 3rd offense, Distribution of Methamphetamine and with Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol and Driving under Suspension.

Cullen is accused of having in his possession last Friday a quantity of methamphetamine weighting more than one gram, this noted as prima facie evidence of intent to distribute. A warrant noted the defendant has had at least two prior convictions for this same offense. Cullen is further accused of having in his possession in Clinton Friday a .22 caliber revolver handgun that was in a vehicle he weas operating and that this was without authority to be transporting it. He is further accused of operating a motor vehicle upon the highways of South Carolina inside Clinton while his privilege to drive had been denied or revoked by the State of South Carolina.

Gregory Lamar Cullen was being held in the Johnson Detention Center this morning with cash or surety bonds on his three charges totaling $7,647.
