LCC Meeting Approves the 2021 JAG Award Grant

At Tuesday Night’s County Council Meeting, council approved a request from the sheriff’s office to approve their 2021 JAG Award Grant, and their spending plan for the funds, which total $20, 545.

Their proposed spending includes $4, 500.00 for a child identification and fingerprinting system, $8,045.00 for a latent print dusting station, to protect the officer during latent print processing using latent fingerprint powders, and $8,000.00 to purchase laptop computers and software for employees to enter data researching data and accessing other vital information stored within the office’s records management system.
