Impersonating Police is what led a Laurens man behind bars. The Laurens Police Department arrested 36-year-old, Kevin Chase Gomez, of Robinson Road, for allegedly impersonating local official and Unlawful communication. According to his arrest warrant, on November 15th, Gomez was allegedly at Ingles in Laurens giving the public orders/directions over the PA System he has installed in his Chevrolet Truck. He also has a red and white lights installed on his truck in a manner consistent with first responders.
On November 2nd, Gomez allegedly called a victim multiple times demanding information using foul language and also threatening to come to the victim’s location causing her to fear for her safety and created an unnecessary disturbance. Kevin Gomez has since been released from the Laurens County Johnson Detention Center.
