Mistreatment of Two Dogs

Mistreatment of two dogs this past weekend was alleged with warrants served Tuesday by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office. 24-year-old Daniel Emmett Ivey of Indian Mound Road, Waterloo was charged with two counts for alleged Ill Treatment of Animals.

One warrant alleges that on Sunday, May 9th Mr. Ivey forced a mix-breed dog in his care, quality and control to suffer from a severe skin condition that is painful, without seeking care or treatment for the condition for a prolonged period of time. This reportedly forced the dog to live in deplorable conditions inside the defendant’s residence to include a large build up of feces, urine and trash which created a prolonged torturous event.

The second warrant alleges that, also on May 9th, Ivey forced a black, tan and white mixed-breed male dog in his care to live in his home with the large build up of trash, feces and urine. Furthermore, there was allegedly no food or water present for this dog.

The Johnson Detention Center notes that Daniel Emmett Ivey remained in custody of the Sheriff’s Office this morning.
